Hang in there Sparky. Here's a great tip from Serenity2 - go buy some grapes & freeze them. Healthy snack & it's hard to eat big amounts (at least it is for me) since they're frozen. And as mentioned, glass after glass after glass of water! Sparky, Kudos on a job well done! Sounds like your first day went well. Keep your coping mechanisms at the ready and rework the program. Revise your quit plan and reward yourself often. Keep us posted, Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

I'm well into my firt day. I put the cig down last night at 9:20 pm. I got up this morning and went for my 3 mile walk. Was pretty tired this afternoon, so a rested for a couple hours. It seem when I quit I get tired the first few days. I had some minor withdrawal, but I'm getting though. Have been drinking a lot of water and breathing. Trying to stay away from the snacks. Other than that it has been an okay day. Hope everyone has a nice week-end Go Big Red!!! Congrats on making that big step, Sparky! There'll be that 1 showing up on your meter real soon. I worked toward each number changing on that meter...but something about that number 1. It let me know I could really do this. Have a plan ready just in case something sneaks up on you. Have you worked the program here? It's good for those "restless" times...and so is reading through the forum. Keep hangin' in there and let us know how you're doing :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/2/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 576 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,534 Amount Saved: $2056.32 Life Gained: Days: 61 Hrs: 1 Mins: 33 Seconds: 40
