Thanks Rusty and Josie! Heebie-jeebies - I LOVE that word. That must give away the fact that I'm in my forties! The upside - my house needed a good cleaning. There are door-frames with fingerprints calling my name . . . . . . Thanks again. S

Yikes - I've felt very jumpy since I got up this morning. I haven't run out to the convenience store in my pyjamas (yet), but I'm really feeling like I have to strongly resist. I'm using the patch and zyban - you'd think between those two I'd hardly notice the difference, or be oblivious, but it seems to be the habit and routine that I'm missing this morning. Coffee, coffee, coffee, and instead of smoking, I've started tidying up, doing laundry, sorting papers, planning dinner (already). When I take my daughter to dance at noon, I'm going straight to the garden centre for some retail therapy. I figure today I can spend the $ 27 that I didn't spend on cigarettes, and not be in the hole. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this . . . . . . . Idid not think that it would be like this. It's very very hard and I am in need of support. Can you help? Absofab.

Keeping busy is so important! Since I've quit, my house is cleaner, my plants are watered more often , my laundry is done, dinner is planned LoL you get the picture. I find that if I *do* something when a craving hits, I forget about the craving very quickly. Best of luck! I'm a big beilever in doing things that keep both hands busy, like playing my guitar or some other activity to help fight the cravings. I tried playing cards, but that idle hand kept reaching for a cigarette. Stay strong, and know that you can beat this.

Good Morning sushik, I want to commend you for having a plan in place. Stay focused on the goal. You are doing great. In order to quit you will have to go through the withdrawals at one time or another ... just keep remembering that they WILL eventually go away. There IS light at the end of the tunnel. There is a beautiful new life waiting for you ... but you need to fight to get to it. It is a prize worth winning. Keep on keeping your quit. I'm really happy to read about the progress you are making. It is inspiring.
