You're exactly right Eleveno. Depressed people are not different; they just think they are and think others think they are.

Hi Ashley,

I thought people who weren't depressed or anxious didn't have problems in life but they are like the rest of us. The difference is that depressive or anxious people pay close attention to their thoughts and are on the lookout for the negatives.

As we’ve seen before, depression and anxiety can result in many other issues.  People with depression or anxiety often feel that they’re different from others and/or that people somehow can tell that they’re “different” or “not right”.  As a result people with anxiety or depression are often on the lookout for evidence that others are rejecting them.

Have any members here felt this way?
