Before I was so depressed I used to read a lot. Now it seems I do not enjoy reading books, mainly because of the depression. I think I will pick some self-help book and start from there.

Anything by Kurt Vonnegut ... he's funny, a touch cynical, but just full of humanity, truth and a fundamental goodness. He speaks straight to the reader in such a warm way. 'Breakfast of Champions' is my favourite.
