OK, well, yesterday I made some progress handling two bad habits I have - smoking and eating lunch at work. Both unnecessary and expensive. Managed to smoke less than ten cigs in a day for the first time for ages and didn't succumb to the temptation to buy lunch. So, moving along gradually.

For now, getting the grandbaby to actually take a nap is absolutely my greatest goal and validation each and every day!

Not very dramatic or impressive... but oh so very necessary for her well being and MINE.

On Sunday I was cut off by a driver which normally would trigger feelings of extreme anger... This time I was just a little agitated and could laugh it off right away.

I managed to retrieve copies of  several stories I'd written which I had destroyed in a fit of self-destructive pique. I had felt that they were worthless, proof of my inadequacy. After a while, I regretted it and missed them.

On rereading them , they are not exactly masterpieces but they're not so damn bad. Maybe I can write after all. Could be the first step to going back to my creative writing workshop.

Every day I get through at work without (a) a splitting headache or (b) being consumed by bitterness and anger can be counted a success of sorts. I've managed a couple like that lately so that's a little something positive.

Everyday should be a success, no matter how big or small!

Have you hit a milestone?
Did you reach a goal?

This is an amazing way to validate what you are trying to achieve on a daily basis.

What success did you achieve this week?
