I'm nervous

3/17 is my quit day and I'm nervous about the withdrawal. I've been smoking for 26 years and I need to quit. Any advise will be helpful

this really sucks!!!!

I had all intentions this morning to start out with a patch. This is my quit date, instead I decided to try it cold turkey to avoid the prolonged time of withdrawal. I can't think straight, I'm all emotional and don't know what to do with my hands. I haven't smoked but if I eat anymore carrots I'll turn into a rabbit. I could use some help here. Oh and my boyfriends moving out this weekend. What can I say I didn't want to change my quit date not for anyone!!!

this really sucks!!!!

Thanks for the advise and I've done quite a bit of reading. I finally broke down and put on a patch. I tried to get some sleep and couldn't. Hopefully I can try again tomorrow without the patch. A friend of mine quit cold turkey and also suceeded in quiting. I haven't smoked and I'm really determined. I just feel really sick even thought I'm not. Again thanks for the support!!!

I'm having a really hard time

Ok this is getting really hard and I can't stop crying. I want a smoke soooo bad but I won't. I'm better not eating cause that when I feel it most. Also my guy just left and might move out today so the anxiety level is high. I'm going to take my daughter out shopping and I'm stressing the car ride without a cig. It's hard to believe I let cigarettes control my life for 26 years urgh!!! Day 2

Good morning well I didn't get much sleep last night I woke up like every 30mins and tossed and turned. I found it hard to watch tv yesterday. Everytime I saw someone smoke I would reach over to the table to light one and realized I don't have any cigarettes let alone a lighter or ashtray. I got rid of everything. I'm feeling a little bit better but still in a fog and my stomaches upset. I'm hanging in there!!!

first of all I want to thank everyone for their support. Yesterday was rough but made it through another day one second at a time. I also went shopping with my daughter and spent a small fortune. Oh well a small reward for me not smoking. So far doing ok today. I still didn't sleep last night and now I'm at work. It's going to be a long day......
