Having a little bit of the crying thing.

Greenette, I was amazed at how sad I was the first and second day, but it did get better, just a little bit. It's now day 5, and I trust that these feelings are going to get better every day! Not knowing how long I was going to feel so bereft was unbearable. Just having it let up a little over the last few days has given me such hope. Hang in there!! We can do this!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 69 Amount Saved: $16 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 10 Seconds: 10

Second day

Hi! This is my second day without smoking, and I am so amazed at how strong some of the urges have been! I wasn't able to get on line yesterday, but I did first thing this morning when I got to work, and reading everyone's posts have helped tremendously! I realize how much I need the reinforcement and positive outlook that I can always find here. This is hard! but worth it. Thanks to everyone that takes the time to tell their story. Knowing that there are people going through the same thing as I am helps alot! Her Battle is Over!!!

I'm so sorry. Bless you for being with her, and bless her little ones. For those that have never had the personal experience to be with someone dying of cancer during their last days/hours, it's not like the movies. If it helps to motivate anyone to not smoke, just remember that someone you love will have to eventually watch you die from one of the many diseases that smoking can cause. Day 1, for the 100th time!

Eady, Good luck to you! Your post hit home for me, I was shocked at how strong the urges to smoke have been. The devious way the addict brain works is scary. I spent alot of time reading about Junkie thinking, because I know its my biggest downfall. Keep reading and keep posting, I think this site is going to help both of us ALOT!
