New to the program..

Hi asio,

Thank you for sharing your story with us, I am sorry that you have recently lost your job and you are right it is important that you begin to focus on you and make yourself the number one priority.

There are many people within this support group that share the same questions and concerns as you.  We are all a group of individuals who support each other.

If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests.  These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.

We also have developed a Panic Program.  This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above.  Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead.

These tests may or may not be for you but they are "free".  If you have any question or concerns with our “TOOLS”, you can contact us at support@paniccenter.net.  We are the Support Specialist for The Panic Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have.

Please continue to strive forward and lean on us for support.

Myth or Fact

Myth: Only major symptoms of stress require attention.
Fact: This myth assumes that the "minor" symptoms, such as headaches or stomach acid, may be safely ignored. Minor symptoms of stress are the early warnings that your life is getting out of hand and that you need to do a better job of managing stress.

I keep chickening out

Lance,

Just keep telling yourself that this is a place you drive to frequently and it is part of your weekly routine. Keep working on your exposure therapy with driving.

One good week a month!

Hi lisamarie333,

Work through the online program. Go through the sessions, they will provide you with knowledge about dealing with panic and anxiety in different situations. It is great that you go out and bowl and sing karaoke! Be sure to always incorporate those things you like to do. Regarding the side effects of the various medications, I'd advise you to consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Looking forward to reading more from you.

anxiety- loss of appetite, weight loss

TexanFemme76,

It is good to hear that you were able to eat at your Thanksgiving dinners, even if they were small portions. Do try to sneak in nutritious snacks here and there if you can, your body will appreciate it!

Hypochondria, mental loop and losing my mind. I feel so lost.

AfraidinSydney,

It is often hard to get things off our mind until they are resolved. You are making a good decision by getting the lump in your abdomen checked out. Once you find out the results that will be one less mystery to worry about. In the meantime, work through the online program, and post here as much as you need to. We are here for you and support you all the way.

Coffee

Lance,

Davit makes a good point. You must figure out what works best for you, and try to use things such as coffee as a reward. Or you can also do a few tests on yourself. How do you feel when you are not drinking coffee? How do you feel when you drink it? Try to go a whole day without having any and see if this changes anything. It is important to know your body as best as you can and modify accordingly.
