Hi I'm New

I just want to say hi to everyone. I have 2 days in. It has not been as hard as I thought it was going to be. I have had a few tight spots but I was able to get through it. I am using nicorette lozenges. It seems to help as it takes the edge off. I think that I am just ready to stop. I have quit before but always started again. I know that I will never smoke again. Keep on hanging on ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 50 Amount Saved: $24.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 48 Seconds: 11

I am having problems concentrating:(

HI, I am having problems concentrating. This is effecting my performance at work. On my job I have to be able to think on my feet a lot. My CEO and Director are being Great. I was on a phone with my Director and lost 5 min of the convesation. I had to get her to back up and go over the info again. She told me to hang in and not smoke. I am so lucky to have a great support team on my job. I am concerned how ever because I porvide supports for people with complex needs. Does any one know any thing that may help. I know I will not smoke ever again, I am not going to go through this ever again. I can manage the cravings, headaches, and all the other stuff. After all I am the one that started smoking in the 1st place. I am not crying or thinking of giving up. (I may be crying but it is just withdrawl...LOL. I wish we had spellcheck!! I am having problems concentrating:(

Hi Lainey, Thanks for the addvice. I stopped drinking coffee when I quit because I would smoke with my coffee. I will try tea and see if it helps. It my be caffein withdrawal that is effecting my concentration. I am going to start a exersize program to see if that helps. I hope you have a good day. I still wish we had spellcheck. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 75 Amount Saved: $36.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 27 Seconds: 14

Tomorrow's the day!

HI, I spent last night washing all my clothing and getting rid of any traces of smoke. I find that I can smell the smoke on my jackets and shoes and it trigers me. I wish I would of realized this before my quit day so that I could have made sure I had done it before I quit. I did get it done. I had to get real mad 1st and than I let my stubborn side take over. I was swering and crying. I hubbie asked if I was OK. I can laugh at it now but it was hard. My piont is that we will have hard spots in our quits but if we reach inside and get stubborn it helps. I read a message in hear that helped me. I can't remember witch one it was but it was abought not whining and getting mad at smoking. It made since to me and last night it is what pulled me through. I am not saying that it is ok to get mad at other people that is never OK. When I get cranking I take time away from others and come on hear and read. I try to remind my self that I can not unring a bell. Well I am rambeling on and I need to start working. I hope every one has a great day and I am going to try and have one my self. Still wishing for spellCheck My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 75 Amount Saved: $36.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 29 Seconds: 53

Famous Qoutes from Famous Quitters

I like the qoute " I would rather be an exsmoker occasionally thinking of smoking than a smoker constantly thinking of quitting" I am putting it on my quit wall and on all the doors that lead to the out side. Who ever wrote it thank you! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 75 Amount Saved: $36.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 15 Seconds: 40

Hi I'm New

Hi, I had a hard night, but I got through it. :) I used lot of the stuff I found in here. I get really down, I desided that I did not want my mood to effect my family so I did a mental health night and socked in a hot bath. I told myself that this is part of quiting, and that it will pass. By the time I went to bed I was in a lot better place. I still felt down, but I know it was withdrawl. Today I have I new out look. By getting pass the withdrawl I am becoming a stranger person. I know that I am now a non-smoker for life, and it feels great!! The withdrawl is simply terrible, but that just shows me how much the smokes were killing me. Thanks for being here for me. It makes quiting easyer.
