Chantix user

This thread has been very inspiring to me. My doctor mentioned Chantix last time I was in her office a few months ago. I feel ready to give it a go now. I plan on getting the prescription next week. Thanks to all who shared here.

Day two!

Hi, I'm on day 2 and to be honest I'm jonesin' pretty bad at the moment. I am taking Chantix and it helps tremendously. The bad cravings go in waves...If I hold out for 15-20 minutes, then I'm okay for a while, then another wave and so on and so on. I guess I just wanted to come in and vent a little. Thanks for listening (reading, lol).

Day two!

Thanks for the reply, Brenna. I have found that deep breaths and drinking ice water help the most. I've been up for about a half-hour and I'm really psyched. Today is going to be a good day! I can do this! I'm going to come here more often also. I know this board is full of good advice and tips to get through cravings and I need to use them. Embracing the Void

I can really relate to "the void". Yesterday, I was thinking how I felt like I'd lost my best friend. I had found comfort in ciggs for so long, it IS like losing a best friend. So I'm in my grieving process now. But thanks to people like y'all that posted on this thread, I know I can get past this and stay quit.
