I slipped ..... :(

That's right Goofy. Us quit buddies are here to support each other, not to judge or condemn! 6 weeks=10 pounds

So I finally got brave enough to step on the scale, and I've gained 10 pounds in 6 weeks! The first few weeks of my quit, practically all I did was eat, sleep and read stuff on this site. I never had to watch my weight before. I could eat all I wanted and never gain. I felt happy with my size. This morning I couldn't get my favorite jeans on. My husband says I look great, and one of my friends said she thinks I look healthier than ever, but I'm just not comfortable with it. I think it is time for me to deal with this. Lately I've had more energy and haven't been craving food as much. I definitely don't want to jeopardize my quit, but I also don't want to get big or have to buy a new wardrobe. I am going to be more careful about what I eat, and I'm going to get back into working out at the gym. I used to love to work out, but I stopped going last summer when my kids were out of school. Also, ski season will be here soon!! I wonder, if I was so addicted to smoking, maybe I could get equally addicted to being healthy and staying fit?! If I could be strong enough to quit smoking, maybe I could be strong enough to lead a totally healthy lifestyle?! Well, thanks for letting me deal with this here. Six months till swim suit weather! Octobreathers, it's almost December!

Hi there! Today I've checked in for inspiration a couple of times, but I've just now gotten I chance to post. I've been trying to catch up on things I've been procrastinating since my quit. So tomorrow is the big bay for Goofy and sprquits!!! And the next day for one more try!!! ONE WHOLE MONTH!!! Way to go you guys! I plan on hearing about some really great rewards, ok?! Speaking of SoniaPRQuits, it's time to check in girl! Stan, Eddie, mome24-7 and any one else who quit in October - how's it going?! I've been doing pretty good. My thoughts of smoking are a little more rare. I'm starting to get more energy and I'm not constantly wanting to eat anymore. Witch is a good thing because I've gained 10 pounds in the last 6 weeks. I will work on that. I'm just glad to be free from the smokes! Take Care! Damn it - can I say that here?

Hi Terri, Did you see todays quote? "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Confucius Good for you for not giving up! I never thought I could handle quitting, I'm doing it! It really does get way easier after the first three days. Hang tough! smoking dream

Hi crazycuban! I'm so glad to hear that your mom is home and feeling better. I am on Chantix too, and I've had a few smoking dreams. I've had the kind where I smoke and wake up feeling freaked out that I've ruined my quit, and I've had the kind where someone offers me a smoke and I tell them "no thanks, I don't smoke". I actually get a kick out of most of my vivid dreams. Some are quite bizarre. You are going so awesome with your quit! Soon you will be celebrating one month!! Octobreathers, it's almost December!

A new amp sounds like a great reward Goofy! Rock on! My middle daughter plays guitar and sax, it's so cool. By the way, I'm not the best with computers. How do you know when I'm logged on? I tried to add you to my buddy list, but nothing happened! If sprquits does not check in today for her one month celebration, I'm going to be quite worried about her. 6 weeks=10 pounds

Thanks Breanna, I am looking forward to a much healthier lifestyle! Well Goofy, luckily for me it's not swimsuit weather in Oregon, more like SNOWsuit weather! And you are right, we are all starting something much greater for ourselves. I should not get all whiny over ten measly pounds!
