i can do this?

If you think positive, act smart and plan your rewards and learn about you and your cravings I think you'll do it! And hold yourself a believe there will come better days than those you are going through now! I only have 2 months without smoking but I almost don't have any cravings now! :) and that feels GREAT! :) Some days or some times there are those small thoughts of smoking but it's just a though and then I remember I'm free now and I don't want to smoke and go through those first days again! So build your mileage a step at a step and you'll see it gets better and easier over time! :) Good luck and keep posting! I found out that it does help a lot to be in touch with others that are going through the same or went through the same process and understand you like no other! :) AND they do havy wonderful tips! :) All these guys helped me a lot in difficult times and in my first challenges! I'm so thankfull!... :) :) We're in here always remember that! GOOD LUCK and be strong and confident! :) Kisses, Cat My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 67 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,340 Amount Saved: 201.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 21 Mins: 36 Seconds: 12

Tired of being sick and sick of being tired...help!

Hi Peanuts! I don't know nothing about Chantix... I quitted cold turkey... And I don't have so many days as you without smoking.... But I do know that I almost don't have any cravings now... So I think that when you get no nicotine on your body (I'm assuming that Chantix has some...) after a while step at a step day at a day your cravings will lessen! With all these days you already have you've been learning to socialize and do your life without the cigarrette on your hands. That's pretty hard to re-educate yourself, your hands and your socialization! I'm still learning that!!! So you have that part on advance! So I bet you'll get better now when you stop chantix and face those first days by yourself! I also bet you'll have extra self-confidence wich will help you through all the process after that! :) And specially I think you should think positive on your quit until now (71 days IT'S PRETTY AMAZING!!!!!!) AND start feeling and thinking positive about your quit!!! :) That'll help I think.. At least it helps me to think I'm doing something great to me and my self! I'm treting myself well, caring and loving! :) good luck!!!!!! AND BE POSITIVE! :) Kisses, Cat PS - Excuse me for the all mistakes!!!! Tired of being sick and sick of being tired...help!

OH! OK! So it fouls the nicotine receptors in your brain working the same way that nicotine works but without the adverse things of it! IT's called an agonist the substance in Chantix, an agonist of the nicotine! Because it works the sameway that nicotine does in those receptors! :) So it works the same way those substitutes for heroine and so on! :) Geee Thanks a lot for the information!! :) :) Kissesssss Free for the IM? Tired of being sick and sick of being tired...help!

One last post on this, sorry! Been reading a bit about it and this is what I've found: Smoking will no more be fun, as Chantix(Varenicline) cuts off the usual thrill and the kick that nicotine induces in your brain. And withdrawal symptoms of quitting smoking won't be anymore a bitter pill to swallow, as Chantix(Varenicline) eases and soothes the symptoms. So it isn't an agonist like I've said! Insertions Wanted

WOW!!! Great post!!! I would love to smoke right now because I like to not be in control of my life and body and let something else be bossy on me! I would like to smoke right now because I'm tired of feeling proud of myself and want to feel miserable and have a low self-esteem again! :) Aloha that last post of your is great! :) We do need to re-learn to deal with stress and other social situations! In some occasions I'm still learning how to be in there without the cigarrette and the smoking thing!!! But it feels great to tell everyone: I Quitted smoking, I don't smoke anymore!!!! :) :) Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! :) Congratulations you all!!! You are all very brave and determined people! :) And I'm really happy to have found this place!! :) Kisses, Cat My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 68 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,360 Amount Saved: 204.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 23 Mins: 25 Seconds: 25
