Hello everyone, What a joy to find this fantastic website. I kicked the smoking habit on Tuesday 17th July, 11 days ago. Im using patches as well as the odd chewing gum. Im not finding it easy but I feel like ive unburdened myself of all the hassle, cost, risks and inconvenience of being a prisoner of cigs. My family are really pleased with me and i feel great!! Hello everyone, Thanks again for all of your fantastic support, its helping. Im pleased to say im still a non-smoker and am very proud and pleased with myself. After 25 years on more than 20 cigarettes per day I know this isnt going to be easy. Since I stopped smoking on 17th July I have been at home off work and away from the stresses of my usual working life. This has no doubt helped me a lot. Tomorrow I go back to work for the first time as a non-smoker and I am afraid things are going to get a bit harder. Im really glad that I found this website because its going to help me. I promise that I will post again after my first day back at work (whatever the outcome) and hope to say " I DID IT!" tryingtoquit. Hello everyone, I spent my first day at work as a non-smoker yesterday. It wasnt easy and I had a lot of cravings, but I got through using shear will power. I`ve now been stopped for 2 weeks. I`m feeling a little bit battle weary and slightly low this morning. But I am still a non-smoker and really dont want to go back there. Thanks for all your continued support. Day 14

Well done Gumby, Im on day 14 as well as you and im using patches too. Im not too worried about what happens when i come off the patches. The main thing is that im not smoking and thats a huge achievement. My plan is to gradually decrease the nicotine content of the patches and wean myself off the drug gradually. I know exactly what youre going through at the moment as i am literally going through the same experience. Lets both stay positive and focus on the massive bennefits of being a non-smoker. Hello again everyone, Its day 19 for me and its really not as hard as I thought it was going to be. The cravings are weakening and I`m getting stronger each day. Not long to go for three weeks without cigarettes. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 19 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 418 Amount Saved: 91.96 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 19 Mins: 53 Seconds: 14

Hello everyone, As you can see from my mileage, im on day 22 and feel quite proud of myself. However, I am using 24 hour nictine patches at 21mg but I take them off at night. Im also having the odd 4mg nicotine chewing gum when I have a huge craving, usually about 4 per day. The question is am I just actaully delaying giving up the drug? Am I just kidding myself that ive done really well as Im still having my daily fix?
