Hello everyone

My name is Jackie. I've been smoking for about 4 years now. I'm 19 years old. I tried to quit cold turkey, didn't quite work as I planned it to but it's ok! My best friend and I both set our quit dates for August 5th and we're both very ready and are preparing ourselves for the quit! I did not realize it was going to be as hard as it was. I only went about 27 hours before my emotions got the best of me. August 5th is the big day and I just wanted to say hi! Thanks. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: -26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: -520 Amount Saved: $-127.40 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: -137493

Hello everyone

Thanks so much! I'm on day four. The first day was sooooo hard. I think I'm doing well though. I stiff feel very confident and when I want a cigarette, I just think about all the reasons I'm quiting:) I'm on the patch and welbutrin as well. It seems to be helping out a lot. I still find myself reaching for that cigarette. I do find it really neat that I can already smell and taste a little better! That's really exciting. Again, thanks. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 80 Amount Saved: $19.60 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 1 Seconds: 26

I feel strange

I agree! I feel very strange today. When I was leaving to go to class I actually checked my pockets just like I always used to. It was very weird. It does help just telling yourself that those feelings will go away. They do after about 5 minutes or so. I'm on day 4, yaaahhoooo!! I will make it this time

It gets better every day that comes next! Remind yourself every time you want a cigarette of all the reasons you're quitting! Sometimes being in college really just sucks:(

Man, I have a paper due at ten plus the final exam. I've been up for a while now. Studying for tests was the time that I smoked the most cigarettes and tonight is very very hard. I didn't know where else to come to.. I feel like my stomach needs it. My head is aching and having that stupid cigarette in my hand is all I can think about. I keep telling myself that it will pass and I know it will, but, gosh! I wish I never would have started smoking! I'm doing ok so far because like I said, i keep telling myself that these "cravings" will go away and the benefits are way better than a quick "fix"..this is my 6th day smoke free. I can't let myself down! Wish me luck:) I hope everyone else is doing well! Day 15..

Day 15. It's been a while since I've posted. We just moved to a new place and I've been super busy! My quit buddy and roommate, Afton, are still doing well. We're having a tough time tonight. Both of us really want a cigarette, but we refuse! Thanks so much to everyone who s helped us out. I hope everyone else is doing well also! Thanks.
