Day 2 depression

Hi, This is my second day without smoking and I'm already finding it extremely hard. The worst part is that I seem to be feeling extremely unhappy and am constantly on the verge of bursting into tears - which is very embarrasing as there isn't any logical reason for me to be so upset. I didn't expect to feel so depressed and I'm getting worried about it. Thanks to all who've replied... it has made a difference to me this evening to know I'm not on my own. Day 1 going cold turkey but I'm back

Well done. I've been having difficulty working too - I keep losing track and forgetting what I'm supposed to be doing next... but it will all be worth it in the end and hopefully you won't have to go through this ever again. Day 2 depression

Well, I think part of the trouble is that I live alone and I'm afraid to go out in the evenings at the moment because almost all my friends smoke. So I've been sitting around feeling miserable with no-one to chat to for the last two nights. I'm glad I've found this site though, it's good to read the posts and it gives me something to take my mind off the cravings. Yeah - time does drag, doesn't it? But the thing to remember is that even if it's dragging, it's still moving forward. Time doesn't stop. Today will pass. Hang onto that. It's great that you're giving up before the UK ban... imagine how satisfied you'll feel to be ahead of the game! Day 2 depression

I've been okay so far thanks... though I've been snacking quite a lot! I have a feeling the weekend might be quite hard, what with other smokers around me, but there's nothing I can do about that. How about you? Hope you're not having a tough time. Day 2 depression

By the way - could someone tell me what the button reading "Add to Buddy List" is all about? Thanks. It's my 30th bday and I'm about to have my last cigarette

Well done. A great new phase of life in your 30s awaits you - and I bet that a while after quitting you'll end up with more energy than you had in your 20s! does stopping smoking affect your eyes?

Hi, I've only been smoke-free for two days, I've had plenty of sleep and I haven't been drinking but I've noticed that my eyes are looking much more bloodshot than usual... could it be because of stopping smoking? Has anyone else experienced this? I've looked through the posts but I couldn't find any references to it.
