Hello.....I WILL DO THIS

Hey everyone, just introducing myself. I quit on May 31, after my boyfriend, stopped by to "surprise me" and caught me smoking, I had tried last year to quit, he thought I had quit, but I lasted 2 weeks, and started sneaking around smoking again...I hated myself for doing that, but "the monster" as he calls it, was bigger than I am. I never want to see that look on his face again, and I need to do this for me, I knew that all along, but the monster is tough, after 13 years. I am using the patch again, I tried this before, and while it helped with the "physical" side of things, it didn't help the mental side, so now I am working on the "mental" side of my cravings...it's hard, but one thing that helps me is remembering the look on his face, when he realized I hadn't quit. I will beat this MONSTER!! First Hit

Hey Fly, I know exactly what you mean by wild dreams, The past 6 nights, since I started the patch, I've slept horribly, and wierd/strange/scary dreams...I know it is from this patch, may try to take it off tonight, but worried about my "first morning cravings" as soon as I wake up.... Keep up the good work. Hello.....I WILL DO THIS

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement...Had a really rough day yesterday...I was extremely moody and irritable. All I want to do is sleep, went to bed at 9 and woke up at 8, but slept horribly, the patch is really giving me weird intense dreams. Scared of taking it off at night, because the morning cig was the one I craved most. As for my bf smelling the smoke on me, I tried to cover it the best I could, smoking only when I knew I wouldn't be seeing him....wrong thing to do, and I'm glad he found out, hated being a "closet smoker" I DO WANT to Quit for MYSELF, he is part of it to, along with my daughter, so I can live to see her graduate, get married....I want to stop being out of breath by walking into work, from where I park a block away, out of breath climbing steps when the elevator goes out..So I am doing this for me, my health and future, but also for my bf and daughter. I've also ordered the book by Allan Carr...just waiting on it to get here...hoping that along with this site, will help. Thanks again for your support and I will beat this MONSTER! questions about the patch

Has anyone else had trouble with the patch sticking all day? Whenever I take a shower, which I've been taking more to help relax, it falls off...am I suppose to take it off before the shower and then will it re-stick? Last night it fell off around 6 and I thought I could "tuff it" out until this morning, as I didn't want to put another patch on...these things are not cheap. Ackkk a big mistake, this morning was brutal..I did sleep like a baby with no wild/crazy dreams though. But the cravings this morning, and my mood was HORRIBLE. I have the name brand patches, thinking they might be better than the off brand I tried in my other quit, but seems these don't stick as well.
