Terrified in so many ways

Happy Birthday and CONGRATULATIONS! I am wondering if you are still having nightmares? A few years ago I had them while taking Zyban (wellbutrin). I just got a Rx from the doctor last night for more wellbutrin...hopefully to help me STOP eating! I'm doing Chantix this time, along with exedrin PM (to get to sleep) and another try at Wellbutrin. You are doing fantastic! Yours was one of the first posts I read when I was contemplating my quit...you helped without even knowing it! Thank you! I smoke the last cigarette

Numbfox, I, too, know exactly how you feel. I felt like I was losing a friend who had been with me through the good and the bad for 40+ years. The first week I still remembered my last smoke, and even went looking for second hand smoke to remind me. By the second week I no longer longed for that reminder... Now starting my third week and I am thrilled that I can walk 100 yards across the parking lot and take 2 flights of stairs while talking and not be out of breath at the top. It's amazing to me. I'm starting to taste a little bit of the freedom they all talk about. Can't wait to see what I can do next week! I have to tell you that this site has saved me many times over. When I got the craves, I came here and read, and read, and read (and ate, and ate, and ate)and started posting. These people are the greatest. Like imallclear said, Trust us... You can do it...if all of us can, so can YOU! Day two!

I started taking a 'roadie' cup of tea, or a bottle of water with me in the car. When the crave hit, I sipped. Worked for me, I don't need it anymore. The Magic Ship Continues!

Hey, I just realized that HECK week was over for me yesterday! YIPPEE! Today I feel really b**chy, and very small things are getting on my nerves! But never fear, I will not smoke! I will, however, get that Wellbutrin filled as quickly as possible. Rainie, sorry about the hootchie-cootchie thing. Shows how much I know! That's why I had kids! RIO?? EXCELLENT CHOICE! I'm with you on the shopping trip ladies, but I'm not sure about the boa..... So I Messed Up

JoJo, Welcome back. So many of us have tried and failed before, and it doesn't make you a bad person. Try again. If you read and post often, we can help. Its done me a world of good just reading and posting. I don't know if I would be successful if not for this site. Give us a chance. I think we are pretty good at this support stuff. The Magic Ship Continues!

Hi everyone, Tonight will be a test for me...I have to attend a viewing for a good friend who has passed on to a better life. I know I will be upset, and my usual coping mechanism was to go outside and grab a smoke with the other smokers. I won't be doing that tonight, so I'll let you know how I cope. It won't be deep breathing with all of the flowers around, carnations especially. (Maybe they will have chocolate available????) Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, my friends!
