smogone

Hey Bobbi, I was on the patch too. I just finished it 2 days ago. I have gained 10 lbs. I was not concerned about gaining weight. I knew it would likely happen, but quitting was more important to me. It is easier to lose the weight over the long run so thats why I did it this way. We have the whole summer to drop the pounds. I gained less weight than the last time I quit. Its all a matter of being a bit more careful about what you eat, adn now that it is nice, get outside and walk to lose the pounds! Hope this helps! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 64 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,624 Amount Saved: $675.2 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 20 Mins: 15 Seconds: 36

Have question

Actually it is an anti-depressant that helps smoking taste awful. It is called Zyban in Canada. The smoking thing is a side effect. You can find out all about it on your computer's search engine. Hope this helps! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 65 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,636 Amount Saved: $685.75 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 21 Mins: 41 Seconds: 54

Off the Patch!

Hey PRB, It is going well. Was a bit edgey the first day or so, but am quite happy to be free of the nicotine! I used to have trouble with them staying stuck, so it is a nice treat that I am done! Yes, the weight. I'll let ya know next week who wins the battle, me or the scale. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 65 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,638 Amount Saved: $685.75 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 21 Mins: 48 Seconds: 5

Getting through the second week!

Hi Liz, I would suggest you talk to your Doc about it. My opinion is, If you have come so far already would Chantix help much??? It may just be that all you need to do is shake up your routine a bit, and change things around. ie, Do something different after meals, go for a walk when you get a craving, that type of change. Having just come off the patch, I am looking back thinking, maybe I should have just gone cold turkey. I guess the other man's grass is alwways greener! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 66 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,660 Amount Saved: $696.3 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 0 Mins: 32 Seconds: 59
