my hell week in Athens...

Hi Kate I will remember the last 21 days for the rest of my (hopefully now extended) life. Having got this far stick with it!!!!!!!!!!!!! From my experience it does not gradually get batter it SUDDENLY gets better. In my case today(day 21) I SUDDENLY have lost the urge. I will never go back now!!!! I cut the lawns yesterday a job which always made me perspire heavily even in cool weather. You know what I was fine!!! Keep going for a few days and you will be great!!! When it is not your top priority to stop you have made it!!! Phil

Day 3 and counting.

Hi TT Keep going I am on day 22(after 50 years smoking) and it DOES get better. When I first quit I spent hours a day worrying about not having my pet nicostick with me now I spend time encouraging people like yourself. If a wimp like me can do it anyone can!!! I have loose change in my pocket.... I go to the cash machine less often..... Women find me more attractive(Thats a lie but I thought it would cheer you up) Now I have to get off the patches..... having a really hard time!!!

You really are at the worst point of quitting From my experience it really gets better aty around day 20 Keep marking the days off on a calendar and rewarding yourself. Tell everyone bore them to death with it Anyone who tries to get you back on the weed is an idiot and not a friend Make it impossible to go back without looking an absolute prat in front of everyone. Cos you would be a prat to go back and you know it!!! YOU CAN DO IT IF I CAN Phil My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 423 Amount Saved: 89.25 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 8 Mins: 46 Seconds: 20

Tomorrows the BIG day!!

I have gone 21 days now after 50 years and it does get better and I mean a lot better. From my experience whatever you do dont wear the patches at night.First thing in the morning until bedtime fine but I had ONE night when I forgot to take it off and I had the most terrible nightmares. Perfectly OK all day but NOT at night unless you traditionally have got up in the night for a smoke of course which I doubt! KEEP GOING IT WILL GET BETTER Phil
