Hey uprah,
Welcome aboard!
Now is the best time to quit for you... it sounds like your ready!
This site has been my saviour. I wouldn't be smoke free if not for it. Post often if you can... I'm praying for you!
Take care,
Ron

Hi dswill,
I wish you and your hubby the best of luck.
I agree with you. For me it started as one minute, then one hour, etc. Quitting is not easy... tough it out. Focus on the reasons why you want to be smokefree!
Take care,
Ron

Hey Parola,
I hear what your saying... having a smoke is always there, usually first and foremost.
What I did Parola, was I thought about why I quit in the first place. Once I got that focus, it didn't make it any easier for me mind you, but it did help me not light one up. ANYTHING that keeps you positive and not smoking, I.E. Friends, Family, Pets.
Did you ever figure out how to use your Instant Mess.?
Take care,
Ron

Hey Parola,
You can and will deal with it, hang in there!
That first day is soooooo tough. One minute at a time Parola, thats what it takes. Get through day one, then get ready to tackle day 2.
You are about 6 or 8 hours later than me.

Hey Cobenfan,
For me, it was the first 12 days that were the worst. Days 13 through 17 (current day) are not easy by any means. The cravings are less frequent. Unfortunally, the cravings were stronger.
One day at a time is the way it works I guess.
Take care,
Ron

Hey Parola...
It sounds like your doing good this morning... :)
Not only do we have to get rid of the nicotene in our systems, the really hard thing for me to do is breaking the habits associated with smoking.
You are not alone in this battle.
