My news

Thank you all for the info. I sure dont want to go through this again. I guess the correct wording shouldn't have been easy. Nothing worth anything is easy. I have just accepted this, and embraced it. I have had horribe days, but I think not like some have had. I thank God that this is true. I will guard my quit. I must make myself remember those 3 P's. thank you Cuddles! I dont want to be the one in a year or two from now that says I'm back. That scares me. Thank you all for your advice. It means a lot to me. Having a really bad day

Dear Hyriel1, I completely feel for you right now. I haven't a clue what you are going through, being a single mom, divorced, so I wont pretend I do. The only thing I do have a clue on are these 2 things: First: I was in Hell Week not long ago. It was hard. Felt like the worst thing that had happened to me. I cried, I laughed, I screamed, I was a complete bi***, but ya know what? I got thru it. I felt out of control -- trying to be in control. But this is your detox. You have been poisoning your body for a while. Your body has to cleanse itself. To rid itself of what you have done to it. And your body and mind is trying to get back at you. But, it wont last long. Second: Life is life sweety. I dont mean to be bit***, or seem like I dont care, but life is hard. If it were easy, how could we be proud of our achievements? Life throws anything it can at us. The more that is thrown, and the harder it is thrown, makes us stronger. So, since you have had a wad thrown at you, I bet you are stronger at this moment. Sense it. Feel it. It is there. Now, fight the craves! We all know you can do it. Throw away all that cr** of smoking, and believe you are an ex-smoker. You are. You deserve a life. I dont even know you, but we share enough of a bond that I know you dont deserve to die. You own your own choice. You own your quit. Dont let life take that from you. The count down is on

You go girl! With that name, you will succeed........ We all said "we liked smoking". That doesnt ring true now. How can we like poisoning ourself? How can we enjoy giving ourself cancer? How can we love emphezyma? I sure dont love stinking........... You really dont "like" it, you are just an addict. Welcome to our world. Its the addiction saying you enjoy it. Well that is about to change! Enjoy your new life! Put on your gloves and fight, fight fight........... You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep posting! Hope to follow your sucess!!! What bothers me----

Hello JanA, Lately, I have read a lot of posts about slipping. I too don't think it was aimed at you. There are many, many, many problems lately. Quite a few people have had life thrown at them, you included. I agree with Christine's response:
some are tough lovers and some are softer.. just difference approaches..
I truely believe that. I did respond to your last post about you slipping. I'm not sure if I was kind & understanding or not. My moods change, just like yours. I respond to post in many different ways. It just depends on how I am feeling. Sometimes I feel strong, and therefore respond with the "life is life" attitude. Sometimes I feel sorry, and respond with the "its okay" attitude. Whichever mood I am in, doesnt really matter though. I have not slipped. I have not wanted a cig badly enough. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones. I also have not had any trauma in my life since my quit. I do consider myself truely lucky, and I know something is coming -- just dont know when. From now on, I will not post on any thread of someone slipping, as I truely dont know how they are feeling. Right now, there is nothing that would make me slip. I am not too sympathetic on that subject. I am sorry if I hurt your feelings in my response. I will say, pick up the pieces and move on. We all care about you, and wish for your success. Keep on fighting!
