Calling all February '06 Quitters!!!!

Welcome all February Quitters! Being a quitter never felt so good. The first week's a b*#@h, but it just gets better after that. They don't call it hell week for nothing. Push through the craves, mind over matter. You can do it. Stay strong and do whatever it takes. Looking forward to seeing you all around. Tail Between Legs

Oh no Stu. I haven't been on here in a while and this is the first thread I opened. I am so sad to hear about your slip, but you have one of two decisions to make. You either pick yourself back up & get back on with your quit, or you don't. You either chose to live or you chose to start walking towards the grave one cigarette at a time. Only you can make that call. Everyone here knows what they want you to do...what do you want to do? New Here as of today

Take the next few days leading up to your quit to prepare yourself. Make sure to get your head in the game too. Think about all the reasons you want to quit...think about them a lot. Remind yourself of all the benefits of not smoking. Rehearse in your mind. Imagine yourself in all sorts of situations...imagine yourself there NOT SMOKING. Think about all the times when you would typically smoke...now picture each one of those scenarios as a non-smoker. Look around, what's ahead of you, what do you smell, what do you see, how do you feel, take a deep breath, smile...imagine yourself in every situation as a non-smoker. Visualize the new, healthier, happier you. See the new, free you. Smile.
