Time to introduce myself

This is from HavMerC however I choose to be more open and submit my given name which is Gerald. I am somewhat a newer member of the group-joining apx. 3 weeks ago. I would like to state I firmly believe this site is wonderful and I have obtained very helpful thoughts and information from other members. Thank you! I am a Vietnam veteran and was discharged in 1968. I spent three and one half years in combat zones. Shortly before discharge I began experiencing PTSD.  I have been on meds off and on since my discharge. The positive side is because of the meds. I have been employed in very satisfying positions-the negative side I have had to live on medication. The veteran hospital has been of no help!!  I would like to sign off with a few positive thoughts that have helped me and my wish is that they may help someone else out there. #1 To a mentally healthy, sane way of life, deviating from my past teachings as I see fit to improve myself #2 To  take calculated risks and experiment with new strategies and opportunities #3 To actively pursue people, places, and situations that will help me in achieving happiness. If we do our homework everyday we become stronger!!!!!
