Bog, you will have to face Silver and I at the beach soon enough. You do have to face yourself each and every day for the rest of your life. Lucky this time that the one puff did not lead to something more. No, I don't hold it against you. I have often romanced it. Given the opportunity, I might have done the same, and hopefully reacted the same. Remember the mantra you heard all over the place on day one....
N. O. P. E.
That means, NOT ONE PUFF, EVER!
It's wonderful that you reacted the way you did. I worry though, with too many experiences like this one, you might once again grow accustomed to the smell, the taste, the romance.
N.O.P.E.
See ya at the beach!

Way to go, Silver! Soon you can pocket that gum money. What are you going to buy? (and don't say Nyquil!)

Welcome Ruthann! You are doing such a wonderful job with your quit! The "beach" marks 100 days smoke free. It is a virtual beach with hammocks, food, drink and most importantly, all those quitters who arrived before you. It's a great time. Enjoy!

Question, how are you all doing with cravings? I can't remember the last time I had a bad one. I thought about a crave briefly a 10 days or so ago, when upset over a health issue, but I got past it realizing it was probably smoking that contributed to my problem. :)

I am here, Silver. I believe New Years week was sweet 16 for us, so this should be week 18. I'm thinking maybe we should switch to counting months instead? How are you feeling? Did you get over the crud?

Lady, sorry you too are having such a difficult week. My favorite saying is...."This too shall pass". And it usually does. If it doesn't, then recite the serenity prayer and remember there are things you can influence and change, and those you can't. Focus your energies on those you can. Finally, my last favorite saying..."Everything happens for a reason. It is not necessary that we know why". Take my hand and together we will get through life's rough spots.
