How Do You Feel?

Hi Amanda.
Your Choice to Quit should be your first feel Good as it is the best decision you could make.
Everyones fight with the Nico Demon will vary as to when they feel better or normal just as one persons trigger
may be different than the others.
For me being prepared, positive and able to talk to myself are key tools in my quit.
The support on this site has been amasing even if it is just to come on and see how other people
deal with there triggers, how they cope with side affects or to get a high five for doing so well with your quit.
At first I felt very tired as I had trouble sleeping and my brain was doing more than double duty to convince
myself that I really did not want to smoke. When it does start to get easier and you notice a taste you had forgotten, more energy,
or someone tells you how nice you smell the rewards will continue to out weigh the hard times.
I came across a quote I like by Ralf Waldo Emerson " We aquire Strength we have overcome "
Wishing you Strength in your quit.

My Forever Quit

Hi Collina . Sounds like you are ready.I smoked for 40 some years and have recently quit. There are some rough days but really not that many
in relation to how long I smoked. As for being scared,we all are it is a drastic change in our lives.Be prepared with substitues and activities that can take
your mind some where other than your crave. They do pass fairly quick.Be prepared to talk your own ear off, remind yourself of the positives.Once those first 3 days are done
and the nicotine is out of your system remind yourself the worst is over and then just keep adding up the days and patting yourself on the back.
The rewards far out weigh the process. It has only been a little over 4 months for me but I feel great and that in itself makes me feel so much stronger about
my quit.Ther is no going back fo me.
Wishing you strength with your quit.

Day 14- still miss my buddies.

weekends are tougher than work days. Key is to have plans to keep busy so when you get a crave you have something to get your brain to focus on other than a smoke.
Stay strong.
