I have also had a dry mouth sore throat etc.I have been told it is the healing process.My quit is over 60 days now and I still get a sore throat now and then
and a heartburn feeling at the back of my throat..
They say when you smoke your body creates more phlegm to protect your throat.When you quit it doesn't need to causing a dry throat.
I don't remember my tongue being dry but I do remember it feeling strange as my taste buds were coming back to life.
I also burnt it a couple times as it seemed more sensitive.
I have had blood work done and I am going to visit my doctor just to ask a few questions and see what differences not smoking has made
