What's happened to everyone? All on holiday or what? Only four people celebrated last week, surely there are more out there! Now I have started week twenty six! ..... A massive achievement......actually sticking with the programme and it gets easier every day. A whole six months completed next Sunday, I will be celebrating then!..... So come on let's start feeling proud and march on through this week! N.O.P.E. VIV

D day 1.5 and counting!

Hi Carols, It's good to see that you are well prepared. After fifty years of twenty a day I stopped last January. You could not give yourself a better gift than kicking the habit! Just stick with it and know that YOU CAN DO IT TOO! We will all be with you, stay close and have a HAPPY QUIT! Viv N.O.P.E.

I am checking in with197 days and looking forward to Thursday when I will reach 200. Just trying to think what the 3948 unsmoked cigs would look like if they were on the table in front of me. Thankfully there not! Viv

200 days smoke free

After twenty a day for fifty years I have done 200 days smoke free! It's not plain sailing by any means. I reckon that's why we must keep returning, reminding ourselves what a great achievement it is. So I am feeling good today and strive towards my next big milestone which will be, 250days Thanks to all who keep me on this pathway. Viv N.O.P.E

200 days smoke free

Thank you Breather, your comments are much appreciated. It's quite interesting that I have stopped counting every day or even keeping a check of the weeks but am going for these bigger round numbers. That's got to be progress! It's so important to me to have the support of friends on here. So thanks! Viv

200 days smoke free

Ashley, the main reason for getting this far has been taking it one day at a time and telling myself... N.O.P.E. I am struggling today & yesterday to be honest so I have logged in and with a glass of water & a box of Bretzels I am weighing up the options and reminding myself of how far I've come and how dreadful it is to feel that despaired of addiction. Well having seen all the responses to my last post, how could I possibly not continue this quit. Enormous thanks to Lolly, Sly, Roses, Working On it, Penitent, Ashley, Breather and many others For being there! I feel better already , so back out and continue the garden pruning.
