Just starting the process

Just starting the process of giving up tobacco. I'm 43 and have smoked for 24 years. This will be my second time trying to do this. I'm using the nicotine patch. It's been going pretty good today, but the headache comes and goes, but overall doing pretty darn good I think.

Anyone have Stats on the stop smoking aids

Was looking to see if anyone had any stats on stop smoking aids...such as the patch, gum, inhaler, pill...anything. I want to see what they are.

Having problems with the patch sticking well

I did not think you could put them on your behind. I will give that a try. I'm still using my fabric band aids...so far it's doing ok. Thanks for all the replies.

Cough & Post Nasal Drip

I am going on my 16th day smoke free, but have had post nasal drip and a cough for the past two weeks. My cough is getting a little worse. I believe this is normal to go through. How long does this last?

Simple Reward Ideas????

I'm not the best at rewarding myself daily or weekly. But what I have done is made a calendar and for each day I stay smoke free, I place a star or a dot on that day. That way I can see it each day. Also I told myself that I would put the money I would have spent on a pack that day in a jar, but that one I have not followed through. It's a good idea though....LOL.

OMG I can smell again

My mother had her home remodeled two years ago. Just the other day I walked in to her home and said MOM did you get some new carpet or patch work on your carpet? My mother came over to me and put her hands on my face and said....OMG MY BABY CAN SMELL AGAIN. I am just amazed at how much I was missing.....or not.

Hello,

I'm staying strong, even though I had a major health scare a couple of weeks....I did not pick up a cig to help with the stress. I keep telling myself, I'm going to do this. Hey how did you get those cool graphics for hell week, Month and one other on your profile.....I'm right behind you a few days. I'm really surprised that it's been fairly easy doing this with the patch....I'm love saying that I'm a non smoker.....woooo hooo
