Hi My name is Teresa I have been smoke free 2 full days I am so happy to have found this site it has so much information on it It means alot that there are so many of you guys trying to help us newbies out I just hope that one day I can help somone out as well I smoked 2 packs a day for 20 years so I need all the help I can get but I am going to stay smoke free :)
I was smoking two packs a day so about two weeks ago I cut down to 5 cigarettes a day for a week then I just wanted to see how long I can wait to smoke that first cigarette so far its been 2 full days I really feel like this forum will be alot of help to me and I also hope to help others too I am Chewing Trident white gum and drinking lots of water thanks to all who have replied

Meg and Judy I also have night sweats and mild hot flashes but the hot flashes may be from age as I am 4o I hope they are both from getting rid of the poison in my body leaving ?

it makes me feel better that I am not the only one who feels this way I thought I was going nuts by feeling like crap I havent smoked yet feel tired and cranky I dont mean too be cranky not my true nature gees cigarettes are very bad to make ya hurt this way when ya quit them arent they? :quest:

I have made it through my first week and I am very proud of that seeing all you guys who are ahead of me helps me I think if you guys made it so can I :) I rewarded myself by buying myself a new purse because my old one smelled like smoke yuckyyyyy thanks to all you guys on here for trying to help all of us newbies

I think the thing thats helping me not smoke is everytime I wanted a cigarette I smelled of an ashtray and thought hey this is what you smell like after you smoke also reading on this forum has helped me so much :)

I found that Trident white sugarless gum helped me mabye because I smoked menthol cigs and the minty flavor took my craves away? also reading on here helped ice cold water is also a big help and telling myself NOPE= NOT ONE PUFF EVER ;p
