Congrats on getting through the craving! Rewarding yourself is a great strategy, not silly at all. In fact, there has been studies showing that we only have a finite about of self control and if we are too restrictive it can be harder to control ourselves in other areas. So feel free to enjoy a few extra cookies for the time being :).
I do the same. When the urge is strong, I have an early dinner then 2-3 chocolate cookies with a glass of milk. It is normal to crave sugar to compensate for alcohol.
It sounds like you handled your hard time nicely. That alcohol voice can be very loud and demanding sometimes. Eating cookies is a way to treat yourself. I wouldn't feel bad about it at all. The coming days and weeks are probably going to be tough. Treat yourself, pamper yourself, do anything that brings you some joy, to get you through this time. With time, your confidence will grow and you won't need the "treats" as often. For now though, just get through. Stay strong!
I had a hard time tonight. Had spicy food for dinner and really wanted to drink beer with it. But I knew if I did I'd probably drink many. The urge was strong, but I wanted to stay "good". I enjoyed the food, and had a cookie as a reward, which turned into four. Sounds silly, but those four cookies helped.
