Way to go, Cheryl!  Day One Won!!!!  You can do this and are worth all the effort.

I happened to log in tonight for the first time in months, as I am coming up on my 9 year anniversary later this week.  I am so very grateful for this site, for the people here who are/were all in the same place as you......reach out as you need....shout, scream, cry and celebrate the next few months as you truly free yourself from addiction.

You are the most important person here.....Keep the Quit,

Hi CheryIN,
You have every right to be smiling and PROUD of yourself. Actually quitting is a big step to take.  Anyone can say they are going to quit but actually doing it is another thing. No one else can do this for you, only you can. You need to reward yourself now. Even ONE day is a big deal.
You are right. It probably will get harder and the challenges are endless at the start, but if you are determined and prepared you should do fine. Stay strong and keep us updated on your progress!

I can't stop smiling! I realize it will probably get harder, and the challenges will stay with me for a very long time, but I'm just plain proud of myself right now.

Day 1 of the rest of my healthier life!
