Hey Tom123,

This may be a great time to review your reasons for quitting and to look back at your slip.

Ask yourself what contributed to it? What is the underlying issue? Do you need better coping mechanisms? Do you know how to deal with your emotions or stress?

Take the time to look back and learn from this slip. You can overcome whatever obstacle that led you back to smoking. You can stay on the right path and if you need help, just ask!

Keep posting and let us know how it is going.

Glad you're back, too, Tom. However, a few weeks of smoking doesn't signal a slip; it signals a relapse. I would reset my smoke meter, if for no other reason than to remind myself of what is really lost when I go back to smoking. Please go back through 'My Program.' If you need help, just holler.
My Mileage:

My Quit Date: 5/1/2009
Smoke-Free Days: 478
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,384
Amount Saved: $5,688.20
Life Gained:
Days: 53 Hrs: 19 Mins: 27 Seconds: 57

Tom, glad you are back on the smoke free horse!  For me personally, I would reset my quit meter if I went back to smoking for a couple weeks, even if I wasn't smoking as much as in the past.  I would take what I learned, and put together a plan to stay quit.  Here's wishing that this will be your final quit!
My Mileage:

My Quit Date: 8/20/2008
Smoke-Free Days: 732
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 29,280
Amount Saved: $7,320.00
Life Gained:
Days: 112 Hrs: 16 Mins: 55 Seconds: 14

I had originally quit on July 11, I took to smokeing again for a few weeks (not near as heavy as I was, 1 pack at most and very light compared to 3 ppd Marlboro Red) and now I am back to quit.
I am thinking I will keep my quit meter as is?
I am open to advise on this.

Thanks
