Hi Joy - Welcome to the SSC. Congrats on making it thru that first (hellish) day! If you can make it one day, you can make it a lifetime. If you haven't already, may I suggest working thru the online workbook. There is much help there. Good luck and keep us posted. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 131 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,930 Amount Saved: $766.35 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 21 Mins: 36 Seconds: 22

Thank you for the welcome :) it's been a rough day for the craves...I've even been grumpy with my furkids :( oh well...it will get better. Danielle...I lost my 16 month quit by becoming too confident. Up to that point I had not let anyone smoke in my house and avoided being around people who smoked. I started going outside with hubby when he went out to smoke...then told him it was ok to smoke in the house...it was only a matter of time till I caved...and one smoke was all it took to get me back to a 2 pack a day habit. I know better this time. Joy, That's great! There have been a few couples here quitting together lately. One of them, John and Sue, just made 8 months. You know the drill, having been successful before. Get your coping tools ready. If you look at this as a gift you're giving yourselves it will be so much easier than if you're looking at it as something you "have" to do. Drink lots of water, go easy on yourself and each other, and reward yourselves! Let us know how we can help. We'll be cheering you on.
