Sparky, You have the right idea about the boredom - and you can also make a list of the reasons why you have quit and keep that with you. Then, when those moments come, you can read/refer to the list BEFORE you make the decision to relapse. Good going, and be strong and stay QUIT My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 549 Amount Saved: $175.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 1 Mins: 55 Seconds: 14

WOW!!! Thank you all for the warm welcome back. There are not words to express the warmth I feel in my heart. I have missed the interaction with you. There is so much support here. But when the monster takes over and kills your quit you are so helpless. What I am working on is trying not to get bored and stressed. It seems when I get bored I open the door for the monster to take over. So the plan for me is to write a "to do" list at night before I go to bed and keep a daily journal, so far so good. :) Again thank you for the warm welcome back. Hi Sparky. Welcome back. I need to jump on that Battle of the Bulge bandwagon, too. I'm waiting for the weather to realize it's spring and warm up so I can start back on my outdoor walks. That and I'm trying to drink more water and eat more fruits and veggies. Hope it works! Welcome, Sparky! And congratulations on getting through the first 8! I'm glad that you've determined that each person has to deal with their quit their way. I'm sure that your own peace of mind will be best served with that approach. For myself... I know that all I can do is suggest where others are concerned. I can share my experience and understanding, but the only person I control here is me. And that is as it should be.
