Why I quit: For the kids I don't have, yet To save our children of the future To be a good role model Be healthy Smell nice Have the control back To finish what I've started for once in my life, quitting Tired of the nagging to quit Tired of being the only smoker Money My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 32 Amount Saved: $6.40 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 59 Seconds: 33

I quit for all the reasons already listed. Health, wealth, life, and happiness. But add to that another, I am a single guy, I sometimes use a dating website. All the best prospects when asked about smoking say "NO WAY". Really, can you blame 'em? Hey Lynne, You are right at a year! Way to go! This post is great, It covers all the reasons not to smoke. I can't think of any thing that has not been mentioned. My top five 1. To keep my health 2. To play with my grandkids 3. To save my money for something better. 4. Not being banished to the shop to smoke. 5. To not be a social outcast. Reason's I quit: 1) I don't want to be disabled like my dad from a major stroke/heart attack 2) I want to live a long time 3) I don't want to waste any more time of my life sneaking cigs, I want more time with my kid's and family. 4) People who don't smoke, still can get sick, Why do I want to triple my chances of getting sick!!! I was simply tired. Tired of wasting money on smoking. Tired of worrying about my health and waiting for bad news from my doctor. Tired of taking time away from my family to go outside and have a smoke. Tired of preparing and planning to smoke at events or functions. Tired of the excuses I kept on telling myself every single day to keep smoking.
