Hey Rock!!!

Congratulations, buddy!!!  Those milestones just keep adding up, don't they!!!  Great choice going with the chile verde...  one of my all time favorites!!!  As far at the tequila goes...  sounds like we had similar experiences years ago!  Now I'm more of a Dos Equis  amber fan rather than a margarita...  too sour for me!  Just wanted to let you know though... I had my favorite waiter get me the best tequila off the shelf for a shot with my neighbor over the weekend and it was a smooth as silk and I experienced no ill side effects!!!  Something to think about!  Good tequila is the key, though and just one is enough!

Unfortunately I can only drink tequila mixed with something since I had a horrible experience back in college.  I think many people have had a similar experience with tequila or another alcohol!  LOL!  I did have some wonderful Chile Verde for dinner and a couple margaritas, on the rocks, no salt to wash it all down.  Tonight I found a delicious French restaurant in Hollywood!  Moules et frites tonight with tarte tatin for dessert!  I'm done rewarding myself this week.  Flying back to Columbus tomorrow, so I'll be on the treadmill tomorrow night to burn off my delicious rewards!

Don Julio is great, thereis another tequila, a lot cheaper that  is smooth too: Tequila Azul. It comes in a beautiful blue bottle.I don't drink any tequila, but If I have to drink it I would choose those two !

Hey Rock,
Congrats on 300 days.  You are very soon coming in on your trip around the sun... It's amazing to see how far we have come with quitting.  Enjoy your rewards in LA.  I'm down there quite a bit and will say they have a great selections of Tequilla in the shops and restaurants.  People love Patron but if you can find the Don Julio 1942 it's worth a try. It's like 2 packs of cigarettes for just a shot but soooo smooth.... R

Thanks everybody!  Today is a special day, the big 300!  I know 1 year is on the horizen, but there is something special about today.  Can I join Deb at the beach today?   We both have milestones that end in 00!!!  Of course, all of your support keeps me going.  Today I replied to a few new quitters.  That was me 300 days ago when I posted "I'm new here.  Please help!"  It was all of you who were here last August who helped me, each and every day.  Its all of you who have quit over the past 8-9 months, my quit buddies, and we help each other stay quit.  And its me supporting the folks who quit today, knowing that in 300 days they may be typing a similar message as the one I am typing now.

As for my reward, I'm in LA this week.  Tonight I am going to Olvera Street for dinner at a Mexican Restaurant.  If you aren't familiar with Olvera Street, it is the oldest street in LA.  The first building ever built in LA is here.  So much history, wonderful food, and maybe even a tequila or two!  And tomorrow night after work I am heading up to Hollywood.  I may be a good tourist and do a tour of the stars homes!

As for my name, I went to college in Slippery Rock, PA.  I was given the nickname "rock" at my first job, and its stuck.  So to answer the question, it really does have all the meanings Cat suggested!
