Rock on, whynot. Enjoy your smoke-free home. I know exactly how you feel about the smell on everything in a smoker's home, even my cat stinks.

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

I am sooo proud of myself. And today, I feel better than I have in weeks, maybe even months. I AM a non-smoker, no if's, and's, or but's. And I know it. I am going away for the weekend with my husband (who has had smoke-free days today) to look for our new apartment. We have been married for almost 3 years now, and this will be our first apartment, just us and the kids, since the wedding. We have been together since '01 and living together since 2 days after we met. I am so excited to go look for our new place together. For so many reasons. But the top three, I have to tell you, are... 1 - To be living alone with my family, not with a houseful of 7 people (although I can never repay my parents for all they have done for us), 2 - To be fully responsible for ourselves again, with a huge benefit of being closer to the city, more jobs, and better schools, and.... 3 - The TOP DOG of them all, to be able to have my first ever, completely SMOKE-FREE home. NO dirty ashtrays lying around, NO yellow film on the walls, the ceiling, and the windows, and no horrible stink on everything that I own! (Not to mention myself, my hair, my clothes, etc....) Oh I just can't wait. And today to make things even better, I went out and got my hair cut (which looks amazing, by the way) and my eyebrows waxed (oouuch! but worth it) And I think that every wonderful feeling that I am having, all boils down to this amazing quit! Because I feel so good about myself, and what i have been able to accomplish. OK...bottom line is...I love being a non-smoker, and would not give up this quit for anything in the world. Sorry for babbling on and on, just needed to 'shout out' before I burst. Now, I am leaving for a wonderful weekend with my husband... Stay smoke free everyone. And if you are having a hard time, just remember it IS going to get better!!
