Congrats on getting your sense of taste back! It sure is great, but it CAN be a problem, since the food tastes better, we tend to eat more. But like you said, if you keep it healthy, that should help. Soon, your sense of smell will return to normal as well, if it hasn't already, and that too is bitter-sweet... some things smell SOOOOOO wonderful, while others........
Well anyway, congrats on seeing some of the positive benefits of quitting! I'm sure you can't wait to see more... and you will!
