Thank you so much Chicken! Your words are EXACTLY what I am feeling! I hate this part with every inch of me...... My hubby and I quit together, and for the past couple of days, it seems I dislike him very much. I know deep down I dont, but people just irrate me right now. I do feel a little better today. Less anger, but more tears. I am thinking of calling doctor to see if I can get meds for depression. My doctor is tough though, so it might be a waste of a lot of money just to see her. She usually doesnt give me any meds unless dire emergency......... Thank you so much for this bump. It really helps to know that I am not a lunatic!!!! I too am a very organized and clean house person. My hubby thought I would fight my cravings by scouring the grout, cleaning the walls, etc..... Boy is he suprised and disappointed. Oh well, I know this will pass. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! messages like yours are somehow good to read, now I know, I am not going crazy, other people feel the same way I do, act the same way I do, I received a phone call from my sister this morning wondering if I was doing okay, she reminded me, that I forgot her birthday, how could I..but somehow I am so wrapped up in my concentrating on not smoking, I am losing all sense of direction, how in the world can cigarettes consume a persons way of thinking so much and we are normal intelligent human beings, to be so addicted is horrible...one day at a time...we will overcome and we will win :-)))))

It is getting a bit better. Still could cry or bite your head off at the drop of the had. This week I am either feeling better or handling it better, haven'tcided which it was. It is just nice to have a place where everyone knows what the battle is and stix together to beat it! A nonsmoker who never smoked would never, and will never understand just how difficult quitting is. If someone thinks that they are going to quit and not have some hard times then they are crazy but coming out on top and really showing yourself what kind strength is a great feeling. I for some reason don't feel comfortable refering to myself as a nonsmoker. I feel like I am lying because I have smoked for so long and saying that after just 23 days of being smokefree I am a non smoker just feels like a lie or something. I don't know! Maybe just sounds funny! Newayz!!! Thanks for letting me know I am not alone!!! Nana, I am beyond sorry about your son! I just keep telling myself that I may have moped I may have slept, bi*ched, moaned, complained, cried, and anything else but I made it one more day without smoking. My husband came over and took a peak at my quit meter and said "Wow baby you are really doing it!" That made me feel better like a whole lot better!! So if you have no one telling you this, "I am proud of you Nana! YOu are doing awesome and keep up the good work. We will beat this thing together one day at a time!!! Thanks AGAIN Everybody!!! It really gets me through. I just told my husband that I may have incredible will power but if it weren't for this site I would most likely have smoked. Its good to hear I am still normal. Without this site I know I would've given up. I hate this....just wanted to say thanks...gonna go crawl back in my hole, lay fetal position and suck my thumb...I still cannot shake this absolute fury I feel. I am close to being homicidal...wonder if nictoine withdrawl is a good defense? Joking..no need to alert authorities...thats as close to a joke as it gets right now....I'll check in and I WON'T SMOKE I Gurantee that!
