Again, thanks and greetings to everyone! It's very nice to be a part of something as important and as meaningful as this wonderful group of 'quitters'. There's a lot of strength, courage, experience and insight here, and I've benefitted from much of it. JDK, your stats are looking pretty good too!! And thanks! John, John, John... one of my favorite people. You and Sue really have something. If you could bottle it... you could both be rich. But I have a feeling that you already are... in everything that really matters. Thanks Josie, I'm looking forward to it!! "200" has such a great ring to it! :) LOL!! Bart, that's really true! And it should be such a motivation to others too! The day will come when they'll come back here because they want to, to give back... and not because they're weak, frightened and unsure if they can get through the day. Many of us go through that (though not all), but that's just the price of getting well. Eventually... we have the strength and sense of stability to function fully outside of this support group. But... we should all give serious consideration to sticking around as Pen, Luna, Lolly, Roz and so many others have done. You can't buy the kind of motivation that the longtimers instill in the new quitters. What those folks who have 1, 2, 3 or more years under their belts provide is an assurance that... it can be done. And they are absolute proof that it can. Lainey, I'm glad that you weren't worried! :) Hopefully I'll think to give everyone a heads up if there's ever reason to be concerned. Blue Cloud, you're a peach! And you're as tough and as smart as anyone I've ever met here! I absolutely believe that you're going to have, and keep, this new smoke-free life! :) Mercy, I'm sorry you worried! :( I'll try to come around a bit more! LOL, Tresa!! That's right! "Lamplighter don't smoke any more!!" :) LOL!! Loulou, really good to see you, too!! Thanks, Roz! We will Lainey!! I'll try to get on the instant messenger thingy soon! Really nice to have stopped by LL. Glad to see all is well. Just keep up your good work. I can see how you do not need to come here as often, I do usually stop by everyday, I just don't post a whole lot. I do miss your post. I'll come by over the weekend to catch up (or try :) ) but I just wanted to assure everyone that, while I'm coming by less often, SSC is still an ongoing part of my life. And I don't see that changing any time soon. Pen, sorry I had you and Luna concerned... and while I may never be able to say that I've got this addiction 'beat', I'm quite comfortable as a non-smoker right now. I stay aware, because I know that things pop up from time to time to challenge my quit... but I'm pretty comfortable with where I'm at in my head and my heart. Wary about possible surprizes, but enjoying my new life. Thanks to all for responding! :) Makes me feel good to know that my friends here are still rooting for me!! Oh...my sister quit smoking 2 weeks ago. Today is day 14 for her! Good to see you again lamplighter, has been a while. Glad to see you are doing well. It sure is nice to see people with a lot of days under their belts to balance out the "I've slipped" postings!
