I have had adult acne for years. Not too bad, but still a pain in the butt. The other day my son told me "Mommy your skin looks so soft and smooth, and you look really pretty". Oh joy, oh bliss, what great words to hear! Then last night my husband also said how smooth and even looking my complextion was. Now along with the money I save not smoking, I guess I may soon be able to stop buying all those expensive acne treatments. I also was someone who was pretty well always cold from Nov. to May. Now I find that I am hardly ever feeling cold. Must be my circulation returning to normal. What great things are happening to me now that cigs are out of my life! :)redrosie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 563 Amount Saved: $190.9 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 6 Mins: 55 Seconds: 23

Rosie, Thats great that you have benefits of not smoking that you can actually see. It's good for those times when you think to yourself that quitting isnt worth it. Good for you, try to think of that if you have a craving. I found alot of benefits from being smoke-free. #1 I could breathe better, #2 I was saving a hell of alot of $, can't believe how fast it's added up, #3 how people said I had a glow about me, noticed the difference in my eyes and my skin coloring, it's amazing but we couldn't see it through all that smoke. That's great, redrosie. :) You know, we always hear about the big, bad things as the reasons to quit (COPD, lung cancer, heart problems). But sometimes I think it's the myarid little things like skin clearing up, not stinking, able to walk up stairs, lack of guilt, ..., ad infinitum, that really make the quit worthwhile.
