I'm in the process of getting rid of a lot of old stuff which has triggered a lot of memories and emotions. I remembered that Duffis wrote a duffism for me a while back when things seemed to be a bit much to deal with and decided to take a break and look for it.
As I re-read this thread, I realize that the main reward of reaching for goals is the growth and development that are obtained along the way.
The most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life is quit smoking. Reflecting on what it took to obtain this goal, I realize that the people that have loved and cared about me along the way have enriched my life to a level I never thought possible. What I gained along the journey to be smoke free is invaluable to me and I thank you.
