Hi Julie,   How are you feeling now?   Did you use any other techniques as prescribed in the program?   Hope you are feeling better.     Faryal, Health Educator

Hi Julie,

Keep at it!  The moment after an attack is the worst.  Keep practicing the deep breathing techniques, and try out the progressive muscle relaxation (there's a post under mods corner with info on how to do it).

Let us know how things go, we're rooting for you!

HI

Just had panic attack, tv reflected on glass door, made me jump and think someone was in the house. Heart pounding, hands clammy and breathing became fast. From previous discussions breathed in through nose and exhaled via mouth. Took a while still trembling as I write this. Seacrched site and came across this has helped alittle but find that I am crying while doing this going to wait awhile and try it again in abit, I'm feeling so emotional.

I'll keep you posted.

Karla,   It's up to how you are feeling.  Repeat the exercise until you feel calm and feel no more tension.     Karen, Health Educator

Tip of the day:

Relax, and simply sit down and do nothing but breathe. Start with simple breathing techniques, deep long rhythmic breathing. This will help you to find your center and balance. You will feel a great cense of calmness and tensions will be released.
