Hiya Debbie :) I have had time to read your many welcome posts and I think it is great you are getting so involved in this forum :) It's great when people are ready to share :) I am very sorry that you have had such a hard time of it. The withdrawl and having to live with an angry family and having to leave the father of your child. Sounds like you are very tough to me. It takes a tough person to go through that and get back up and come out kicking :) Anyway, kudos for all the things you are doing to get better :) If you ever need advice or help feel free to ask and if you ever need to vent feel free to do that too lol Welcome to the forums! -Diva

Debbie, Welcome to our support community. You can help your progression and so can we. Our members know what you are going through and can share their experiences with you. Using medication or herbal supplements is an avenue best discussed with your doctor and pharmacist. They have a world of knowledge to give and can assist you with dosages and side effects. There are different types of therapy out there. Some therapies involve talking about the past in an attempt to understand the problem and develop some strategies for coping, etc. The Panic Program is not talk therapy. Its not about medications either. Its a treatment program thats all about getting you actively involved in your own improvement. How great is that? It teaches you things you may not understand about panic and agoraphobia, your own panic, your own panic cycle, and as you learn and get involved, you begin the journey and the process of taking back control from a fear that at the moment is controlling you. The program is not about someone telling you to smarten up or just get with it at all. Its a guide, a silent teacher, and a whole program. Its like going to a school that offers a course in your very own fears and how to beat your very own fears down. It works this way: The Program guides you through the process of getting back this control. It prepares you for this, one single step at a time, and gives you some homework to bring you along from session 1 to session 2, and onward, in a series of 12 sessions over a period of twelve weeks. So take the time to look around and take the test to your doctor. Start becoming active in your progress! Josie, Support Specialist

I have been suffering from panic attacks, high levels of anxiety, agrophobia and depression for 4 years now. I have relapsed twice and have been on medication twice. I am just now getting off of the antipanic medication that I have been taking for the past two and a half years. I was on Ativan and was just informed that it has a severe withdrawl syndrome including enhanced anxiety and panic attacks. I have a 2 and a half year old boy and just recently separated from a long term relationship with his father. I am not able to work right now due to my condition. I have a phobia of driving, going into any public place, medications, alcohol and drugs, certian foods, and even some of the people I know. I have been with the program for a little over a week now and I have found it to be very beneficial. I am also doing some extra cognitive behavioral therapy to get myself back on my feet. I want to tackle this with natural methods. What are the odds of completely getting over anxiety, panic attacks, agrophobia and depression without meds?

Rina, Welcome to The Panic Center. We thank you for sharing your story with us today. This support group is full of supportive individuals who may be able to help you answer some questions regarding panic and anxiety. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Take care and we hope to hear from you soon. Josie, Support Specialist

Hello Rina. I just wanted to say hello and welcome to the forums :) I also wanted to say that you are not alone, we are all here to listen and suport you. I sure know how it feels to be without work and to be scared at the prospect of a new job. I have been there also. I really empathize with you. I just wanted to let you know you are not the only one to go through this. In the past i went through the same thing. As for the program it is really great. IT is helping me a whole bunch :) Anyway, hang in there and I hope to hear more from you :) -Diva

Hi Danielle My name is Rina and I am new to The Panic Center but definitely not new to anxiety and panic. I have not worked for the last 15 months and finding it difficult to get by emotionally and financially. Starting a new job terrifies me..what if I can't do the work, what if I have a panic attack and have to flee? What if I don't fit in? I feel like such a loser even though I work at my last job for 18 years. After losing it due to retrenchment I feel like I have lost myself in the process. The panic is bad today and I am feeling sorry for myself and very alone. I have registered to work through the program so I hope I can gain some power over these negative ways of thinking. I am taking meds and seeing a counsellor. It is good to know that I can come to this site...it is comforting. Thanks for listening.

Members, Welcome to our support community. I like to call on members once a month to please take the time to look around the site and see the difference it can make. Many members choose to remain silent and read through all the advice and support. Know that the site is anonymous and we can help Smile If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to post. We are always here for support and guidance.
