I'm new and nervous...

Today is my 1st day of no smoking. I am determined to do it, but kinda nervous since I don't know what to expect. I've had some side effects (headaches, hungry, etc) which in theory is a good thing. I just gotta stick with it, and when a craving hits, pray and hope for the best. If anyone has any suggestions to make it better, please chime in....I'm all ears! :)

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

Today is day 10 that I have not smoked and I thought it would have gotten easier by now, but it hasn't. Instead of feeling like day 10, it feels more like day 1. WHY? I CAN'T STAND THIS! I'm so close in just throwing in the towel and saying I'm going back to smoking. I was happier then and didn't verbally attack everyone that tried to talk to me. I'M SICK OF THIS! I am also trying to take advantage of the potential weight gain by quitting since I am about 20+ lbs underweight. Everything that I am trying is going straight to my gut and now it looks like I'm starting my 1st trimester all over again (been there, done that twice...no more). I'm just so aggrevated and disappointed! :( :( :( :(

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

Okay, I read that long, informative rendition of "yes, it's all in your head and attitude", but lets face it, it is very easy to say "well, have a good attitude and everything will fall into place". I woke up this morning in a good mood. HOWEVER, my withdrawl is just as difficult today as day 1. THAT IS WHAT I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING AND I'M SLOWLY GETTING FED UP WITH THIS FEELING! I have nothing but a positive attitude regarding quitting and how much better I will be for it in every respect, but its not helping!

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

Thank you so very much for your thoughts and comments. I truly appreciate everyone's input. I do not mean to snap at anyone or reject anyone's suggestions. I am applying everything said to me. I did want to ask before I forgot again, how do I show my mileage charts along with my reply to chats and how do I choose a picture? Anybody know?

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

Well, I'm not going to start smoking again...I have decided. I just need to stay more focused when things get really bad. I appreciate you guys being here for my "venting" sessions! LOL I tried bringing my mileage info up to reflect when I reply and its not giving me an option for it....UGH! Where am I messing up?

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

Okay, dummy me (being the advanced airhead I've been since quitting) figured out how to put this all together! I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

I have actually started with the patch and have continued to use it. You are actually the 2nd person that has mentioned potentially not needing the patch anymore and I'm starting to wonder if that is true. It has been 10 days, I know the nicotine is out of my body, so why would I need this? The directions say a total of 8 weeks. What should I do? :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 120 Amount Saved: $22.80 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 21 Mins: 59 Seconds: 1

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

1939Bear... I appreciate your input; however, I don't understand why you are using an abrupt tone. I'm am just looking for advise. I know that I just need to get on with the quitting process which is what I'm doing, but the severe withdraw symptoms I have (severe headaches) have not subsided and I was told that I am getting too much nicotine and its from the patch, that is why I was questioning it. I wasn't in this conversation to come across like I was whining. I'm just looking to advise. I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

Hi guys...sorry I couldn't respond until now. I don't have a computer at home, just at work. I'm doing better today (thus far). I am actually trying to go without the patch to see if it is do-able for me! (hope so). Sorry about my meltdown yesterday. Very bizarre, but I think that the patch was giving me my headaches. I took my patch off and I have not had my headache yet. I think I'm on to something! HURRAY! :) Is everyone else doing okay today?
