New Screener Tests

Hi Members. We're thrilled to announce that we have just launched two new screeners - one for Problem Gambling (http://www.checkyourgambling.net) and another for Cannabis Use (http://www.checkyourcannabis.net). Both are anonymous and are designed to give the user personalized feedback. Check them out - you can take them for yourself or for someone you know. Brenna

Remeron

Kittcat, Why did he increase your dose if you were doing well on the lower amount? I encourage you to talk to your doctor about these symptoms. Write them all down so when you go to talk to the Dr. you remember exactly what you have been feeling with the increased dose. Brenna, Bilingual Support Specialist

catching trains (buses and other transportation methods)

Georgie, This is a very common source of anxiety for many people, no need to feel like a failure, this is a good opportunity to learn about and challenge your negative thoughts. You suggested taking smaller steps to overcome this fear which is a very good idea. You can start off with just riding one stop a day or if you are comfortable with two start with this. When you become comfortable traveling a certain distance, increase it to the next stop. Our member will be around shortly to share their experiences with public transit. Studying and Finishing Successfully

SweetScholarSuccess, Writing and studying can be a little overwhelming especially when you have to coordinate your schedule to fit them both in. Here's some tips to help you through: Before starting a project (studying for an exam, writing a paper) - take some time to go through and organize yourself and create a plan. Determine everything you need to do in order to complete the project and then write a list in the order that you think they need to be completed. Try to give everything a time limit and create a schedule. During your project: Check off the tasks as you complete them and adjust the steps as you see necessary. You can also adjust the times if you need to but try to stay on schedule. If you take the time to prepare yourself before you start you should be able to finish on time. Trying to stick to a schedule will help you to work to your potential. In your schedule don't forget to give yourself a little bit of you time to keep your motivation up. It will give you something to look forward to and you always need a break in between studying and writing. Brenna, Bilingual Support Specialist
