How do you know it is true.

How do you know something is true. Man has an amazing ability to compare situations at a very fast speed. He also has the ability to slow down and replay important thoughts to get a better perspective. Using this ability man can get a good idea if something is true (by comparison) or if it will work (theory). It works most of the time but only if what you are using for comparison is true or in the case of theory, very similar. They should be true because you saw them or experienced them right. Well no, what about things you were told? Would anyone lie to you? intentionally? Un intentionally? What about things you saw but didn't understand? Truths you guessed at because you didn't have enough information. Things you compared to something that wasn't true. Information you got off the internet. They become true unless they are blatantly false and even then they can be true if repeated enough. Thoughts that are used often to make decisions are core beliefs and the ones that are true are positive. The ones that are false but look true are negative. The thing is there are none that are false and look false unless you prove they are. So just how are you going to do this if you think they are all true? By challenging every one as they come up and replacing the ones you find are false.

Core beliefs control us, don't you want them to be true.

A step on the way to recovery.

Davit.
